roma: camera obscura
via del governo vecchio
The second installation unfolded on the rooftop of a historic residential building in Rome, where I constructed a tent camera obscura on the terrace.
The camera was oriented in three directions, including one facing the Chiesa Nuova. Light projected the cityscape onto silver gelatin paper, resulting in large-scale and small-scale prints. In addition, I projected the city’s architecture onto the nude forms of male and female subjects, blending the structure of the city with the human body. This installation explored the relationship between light, architecture, and form, capturing the essence of Rome in both monumental and intimate ways.
